OVERTURE COLLECTION
 
The Overture Collection is a tribute to the rich cultural legacy of Miami's historic Overtown, where architecture and music come together through design. Created for the award-winning 
OVRTWN Corner project, the collection reimagines eight of the neighborhood's most significant historic landmarks as musical instruments—celebrating the community's enduring influence on Black history, jazz, gospel, and the performing arts.
 
Each hand-illustrated pattern transforms an architectural icon into a symbolic instrument: the Historic Ebenezer Methodist Church becomes a pair of saxophones; the D.A. Dorsey House a boombox; the Dr. Samuel H. Johnson X-Ray Clinic a vintage microphone; the Historic Ward Rooming House a xylophone; the Historic Black Police Precinct Courthouse and Museum a grand piano; the Dunns-Josephine Hotel a set of bongos; the Historic Lyric Theater a tuba; and St. John Institutional Missionary Baptist Church a drum set. Together, these designs form a visual overture—an opening composition that honors the neighborhood's architectural and musical heritage.
 
Designed for hospitality, commercial, and residential interiors, the collection transforms walls into immersive works of art that invite curiosity, conversation, and connection. More than decorative surfaces, these wallpapers preserve cultural narratives through contemporary design, reflecting Ze Haus Design Studio's belief that every space should tell a meaningful story.
