Kunal is the second painting in the People and Plants collection. Each artwork in the series represents a season, with Kunal embodying the warmth and abundance of Autumn.
Inspired by Kenzie's home and travels throughout the Caribbean, the painting explores the relationship between people and the natural world.
 
Symbolism
 
The name Kunal is of Sanskrit origin and is associated with the lotus. It can also mean one with beautiful eyes or one who sees beauty in everything.
 
The Bird of Paradise flower symbolizes paradise, freedom, and joy. While best known for its vibrant orange and blue petals, the flower can also bloom in white.
 
The warm orange hues evoke pumpkins and sweet potatoes, while the soft blush-pink background recalls tropical sunsets, celebrating the colors of the autumn season.
