Kunal is the second painting of a series entitled "People and Plants". Each painting represents a season and Kunal claims Autumn.

He, like many of Ze Haus' artistic designs and products, are inspired by Kenzie's home and travels abroad throughout the Caribbean.

The most famous meaning of Kunal is in Sanskrit which is "Lotus". Kunal also means "bird with beautiful eyes", "someone who sees beauty in everything" or "one with beautiful eyes".

The bird of paradise is known as the ultimate symbol of paradise and freedom. Due to its tropical nature, this flower also symbolizes freedom and joy. Although birds of paradise are best known for their bright orange and blue colors, their flowers can also be white.

The colors indicative in the flower can be synonymous with pumpkins and sweet potatoe pies and the "portrait pink" background color, is reminiscent of warm sunsets.
